Ransomware groups want to make as much money as possible - that means they're going after more varied targets.

The addition of trojan malware could point to more disruptive cyberattacks to come.

Its a good thing I install updates fairly frequently, use a strong password to log into my sessions, and have a firewall enabled. While some users have SSH enabled, I don't because it's optional for one thing, and I never considered myself a high risk for a hacking attack. I also don't have disk encryption because it corrupted my hard drive on my other machine years ago.

Also, because cryptocurrencies have more or less become casino chips, exchanges are bound by KYC laws (which makes them less private), and shitcoins keep popping up, its a good thing I'm not involved in the crypto-space.
