Hello, all.
I am installing Ubuntu 13.10 in a few days. I suffered a delay when the DVD drive in my laptop died at just the opportune moment.
I have used SUSE Linux some years ago, and Ubuntu 11.04 more recently, so I expect that I will be back in the swing of things shortly. I recently read a fairly hefty book on Ubuntu, and I´m working through another on bash programming, so I trust I will not ask unusually stupid questions.
Originally from Washington, DC, lived in about 10 states, now in Cebu, Philippines. Programmer by trade, mostly perl & mysql or other RDMS.
Fairly competent in Spanish, and I can manage some German if I squint.
