Am i going mad? MX Linux issue

I like Linux because it's an open landscape. At least you have found something that you seem comfortable with. It took me a few years to learn and understand Linux before i was comfortable enough to switch. I still Google solutions or simply discuss them in forums to this dayMy go to media...

Am i going mad? MX Linux issue

Oh I see what you mean. I'm normally not good with advice when i am not in front of the problematic PC. Could be a codec/addon/extension issue.

    Hi Guys (and Gals)

Welcome to Linux Land. It's always a breath of fresh air to hear people share positive experiences. I agree with your point that the "one size fits all" approach Window$ and Appl£ use you can. I also love the freedom. Most of all the fact that you can distro hop until you find one that suites...

    Solus vs Manjaro

Why not test your distros in a virtual machine. That way your host machine will be intact and you almost have nothing to lose if something negative happrnd to the distro in the VM

Am i going mad? MX Linux issue

I don't think that method has an option to create a custom live cd of my running OS. In terms of backing up. I use Macrium Reflect. I have an image save on an external drive so all's well with me on the disaster management side of things

When was your first touch of Linux?

Always a wise idea to hold back until all issues are ironed out. I'm no expert with MX Linux as i only started using it from 18.2 it updated to 18.3 without issue. Speaking of Poorguy and the Wizard seem to be seasoned vets. Im in the UK. The time difference does my head in lol

When was your first touch of Linux?

Ive used this feature before it's like remastersys/pinguy builder. I have used it to clone a live iso of my installed system. I have not tried using it to transfer files to a fresh install i.e. MX 17 to 18
