    This might be abit overkill but, thought of putting the Modem in bridged mode? kill the wlan on it and set up a funktional router behind it? might take some work but in the end it might be worth it.

    Sorry for late reply, been on and off sick and at home. As far as I can see, it looks okay, depending that you are using port 8016 on both host and from the outside. But, what i can read out of it, aswell is the Wan Host IP range seems abit odd, try setting it to 255.255.255.255 on the end...

    To put my 2 cents into the mix, might wanna look for a dynamic DNS in the case that you don't have a static IP from your ISP. that will make it so that you can ssh to an adress for instance, host.dyndns.org and it will still rout you to your own ip. Most routers have a setting for this all...

    Update: This is fun, had to leave the desktop for a few days but I'm up and running again. Been moving and creating folders and text docs, just to see how i can work with permissions and diffrent commands. Tried my hand at piping aswell works like a charm. Gonna try and get my hands dirty...
