Whatsapp is owned by Meta. If you trust Zuckerberg it could be an option. I'd prefer Signal though.

I've never heard of it. I just use Firefox. Seems plenty fast to me.

Learn the CLI? I stopped distro hopping myself. Settled on Mint and MX Linux for the box connected to the TV. Edited for spelling.

Glad you liked it. Rumble really grew in popularity during the Trump admin. Won't get into why as I can't without getting into politics. Off-topic - a Twitter alternative called Parlor sprang up around the same time.

I have a laptop I have to do that with. Battery went bad so I ordered a Chinese one. The cable wasn't long enough to reach the connector on the mobo. So I just use it plugged in all the time.
