Custom distro, with my own Desktop Environment using KDE Plasma 5.21 source code.

@JasKinasis I will try getting Plasma to look how i want through widgets etc. If that does not work i will install Plasma 5.21 on Debian from source.

Yes LFS is truly the hardcore way, but it pays of in the end! Using NetInstaller in the case of debian and selecting the software you want is already creating own distro. Personally at this moment for me this approach is enough. Then i might consider gentoo or LFS with time.

Custom distro, with my own Desktop Environment using KDE Plasma 5.21 source code.

@osprey Thanks a lot for your through-full reply. I am in the beginning of my linux journey, and have some data from threads and interactions with users (that i am still figuring out). By "Absolute control and customization over my Linux distro" i am referring to finer grain control that...

Custom distro, with my own Desktop Environment using KDE Plasma 5.21 source code.

Hi guys, I am a bit specific about how i like my KDE to look and behave like. I love KDE Plasma 5.21 on Kubuntu. Unfortunately i cannot install it on latest debian stable, or future releases. To be able to use my own Desktop Environment (based on Plasma 5.21 source code) with Debian, means...

USB Live Boot Tool with GUI, or one that is like an OS you recommend, to format SSD.

100% So, some specific formatting tools are for specific scenarios? I thought sanitizing drive to make sure it gets properly wiped out, was always a good idea. I am not referring to the Peter Gutmann 35 passes method :D Just proper complete wipe-out. I believe what you said. I am starting clean...

Yes. But, is it not better to do a more comprehensive formatting with a tool, before booting the install USB? I'm also checking on installing Manjaro/EndeavourOS with optional ZFS. Is this a bad idea?

Are you sure? Doesn't the SSD leave bits of info behind that should be cleared before doing a clean install? Or when you install, the OS tool already does that well enough? If the case; even better for me. Less hassle.

USB Live Boot Tool with GUI, or one that is like an OS you recommend, to format SSD.

Hi Guys, Looking to do a clean full install of Linux over an entire SSD. I heard low level formatting is unhealthy for the SSD so I'll stay away from it. What's the best USB Live Boot Tool with GUI, or one that is like an OS that you recommend, to format it and install the distro in my laptop.

Ubuntu Studio for "Front End Website Development". HTML, CSS, JavaScript, WordPress.

I will try everything with virtualbox. I see no point in jumping from distro to distro, and the replies i got so far, confirmed this. If i like whatever ubuntu flavor; i will stick with it for the next years, or more.
