[SOLVED] Network Manager stuck at "configuring interface"

Unfortunately I personally don't know how you might fix that issue. I would recommend making a new post so you can reach more people, maybe that way someone who knows more than I do could recommend a fix. Or I could temporarily remove the "[SOLVED]" tag from the title, maybe that way more people...

[SOLVED] Network Manager stuck at "configuring interface"

One final, albeit dumb question - how do you mark the thread as solved, if you can even do that? I'm new to this forum and can't find a button for that. Maybe it doesn't exist, but I just want to make sure.

[SOLVED] Network Manager stuck at "configuring interface"

The configuration file in Manjaro is located in /etc/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.conf and was blank when I accessed it (it only had 2 comments) "# Configuration file for NetworkManager. # See "man 5 NetworkManager.conf" for details." Anyway I just pasted this: [device] wifi.backend=iwd After...

[SOLVED] Network Manager stuck at "configuring interface"

Well apparently iwd is not present at all (I don't have octopi, I checked through pamac GUI and then through pacman -Qe). I only have wpa supplicant. I'll attempt to install iwd and see if I can use it instead (but later as the Arch wiki is down for maintenance at the moment that I write this...

[SOLVED] Network Manager stuck at "configuring interface"

Apologies for taking so long, it wasn't intentional to leave you hanging. The debug output is quite long to say the least. I will have to attach a text file for the debug info instead because I'm quite over the 30k character limit if I just paste it here. And I don't really know what to include...

Problems installing Ubuntu on Lenovo Ideapad 5

"Bootable floppy"? How curious. I think more info might help us better here - do you know if your laptop has UEFI or a classic BIOS? Is secure boot disabled? Do you have CSM/legacy boot (if you use UEFI) enabled? I'd imagine that fast boot would be disabled, considering that you don't really...

[SOLVED] Network Manager stuck at "configuring interface"

Good point, there are plenty of networks that use that channel in my area. I've switched it to channel 8, which isn't used by any other detected network. (edit: forgot to mention, tried to connect, it didn't fix anything. I also had the network on channel 5, which it picked automatically...

[SOLVED] Network Manager stuck at "configuring interface"

This will be quite a long post, so I will structure it in the following "chapters" 1) Overview of what the problem is 2) OS, hardware data, system log when trying to connect, type of router 3) Things I have already attempted in order to fix the problem (that obviously did not work) 1) Overview...
