    IF you still don't have sound have a look in the BIOS under UEFI and see if the onboard sound is disabled like dos2unix suggested.

    Under Volume Control> Configuration you may have to play with the settings in the drop down menu. Also your Built In Audio is off try turning it on. How old is your laptop and what make a model number is it?

    There should be somewhere on the page that you download your .iso from will provide you with a md5sum or shasum number. It's usually a long number to compare. If the signatures do not match the .iso is likely corrupt...
