I also have that same Uphoria 1820. I was able to send all of the mics to OBS easily. I saw all 8 ports using qtlgraph (I think that's what it was) so I could route each port individually to the R & L channels of OBS. I'd LOVE to be able to do that with this Model 24. But there are only 2 ports...

Great questions! I usually only backup my /home folder because that's where everything I install will reside as far as configuration files and whatnot. I also have all of my photos there, videos, music, etc... As far as virus control is concerned, I don't go to any places on the internet...

This is pretty much how I did it in 1994. Install it and go. In 2020, I stumbled upon a Linux video creator who used Arch Linux exclusively and he did a whole tutorial on how to install it. I now use Arch as my distro with the Awesome WM on my main machine. I love it!
