We all like using Linux. How long have you been using it?

well, welcome to Linux!

Been wanting to use Linux soon as I heard about it, but I have been using it for around 6 months now I believe. A tech savy friend of mine helped me install it onto my laptop and now onto my primary desktop!

well, that's great! I too heard about Linux from a friend of mine.

I'm seriously hoping we refrain from politics after this:
What made me switch from Windows was the backdoor put in, and Microsoft sending information to the NSA. Because I didn't feel comfortable with Microsoft spying on me, or the government treating me like a potential criminal, I started using Linux and gradually changed my web browsing habits to reduce being tracked.
