CubeMX installation problem

Hi Guys I am trying to install cubeMX on my linux machine(virtual box) but when i type that command "sudo java -jar SetupSTM32CubeMX-4.26.1.exe"
it is giving me error
Error: Unable to access jarfile SetupSTM32CubeMX-4.26.1.exe what should i do and i am in the directory where i downloaded that.

Just a guess here, but your CubeMX file is a .exe -- that looks like a Windows executable. Linux doesn't usually deal with .exe files very well.

Are you trying to follow some instructions from somewhere? If so, let us know the website and maybe we can help figure it out.

Code generators are way above my pay grade.......but.......is that an .exe file you are playing with ?

....in other words that file was intended for windows only ?
