Hi! I am planning to buy a laptop and I liked one with an oled screen. It has dc dimming support on windows, but i'm thinking to use linux. I searched the internet but couldn't find any information about dc dimming support in linux. Maybe I don't understand something, but is there dc dimming in Linux? (sorry for my english)

Thanks, but as far as I understand there should be an on / off function. How can this be implemented in Linux? and is it implemented at all?

My presumption is (after some reading to see if it's implemented in the kernel) is that you shouldn't need to do anything other than use the brightness buttons on your laptop/keyboard or use one of the dimming applications that are out there.

Ok, thanks for the help!
