Welcome to the site! I heard y'all had a little wind and rain down there... I hope all is well! If you have any questions, just open a new thread in one of the forums... "General Linux" and "Getting Started" are usually good choices for beginners. There is a lot of good info in the "Linux Tutorials" and "Linux Original Content" sections at the top of the forums page. Jump in and enjoy!

My goodness, I have heard of Mobile, and I am from DownUnder. To paraphrase @atanere's last comment "Come on in, the water's fine". It's 3 years last month since I blew away Windows (after 25 years), but you don't have to go to those extremes to enjoy Linux. Look forward to seeing you around.

Have always been able to learn or figure out anything I attempted. Have never had a problem getting around a computer and since I discovered the free resources online to learn to take my knowledge further, my hunger to want to know everything I can about computers and networking has intensified. I'm not close with anyone with more knowledge than me so even knowing where to go for info is taxing. Joining sites like this will hopefully help me network with people that can help guide me as I try to learn as much as I can as efficiently as I can. Hopefully I can get to a point where I can make a living working with computers instead of busting my ass. I'm getting too old for that shit.
