@nik-Ken_Bah
Hello and thanking you lots.
Really overwhelmed with kind of support and understanding like never experienced before.
Especially liking the quotes - old but yet so young and absolutely accurate.
Try to enjoy Mint experience, hopefully with new spirit and patience.
;)I did not notice you're NOT a native speaker, neither am I.
Well, your English certainly better than mine:).
I like your explanation very much, I can comprehend and I try doing the same - of course, in a field that has got not much to do with computers.
I like your attitude very much and the...
So now, before trying anything else - I would like to thank you very very much for your support, especially your patience and I bet it must be horrible if you have to deal with guys like me.
I will try to go back to step one, insert the USB to laptop, try to boot from there and see what comes...
It's flashing now.
So, in general, I have to use the Flash-version on USB of the Linux Mint software to recover/reboot the laptop later?
Why doesn't the downloaded Linux software do, it's already an .iso file, right?
OK, I selected the downloaded .iso file from downloads.
I also formatted the USB which already had the programs on it.
USB clean.
Continue? Where is my Mac USB?
I can't even open the downloaded file on the Mac.
I'm really done here, really frustrated and doubting.
I'm anxious to fuck up my Mac as well.
Reason why I followed YouTube tutorial was that I wanted to have a clean re-installation of Linux.
I had so many troubles with it, no Bluetooth, mail...
Sorry, I do have to open the balena directly on the stick first.
now on the stick there are both programs, still connected to my Mac.
is that correct? I'm really lost.
I downloaded "linuxmint-19.3-cinnamon-64bit & balenaEtcher-1.5.81-x64.AppImage" and have it on stick.
What now?
"Write the iso to this drive" - what does it mean?
Or can I just start booting with selecting F12, selecting USB and "ENTER"?
I might as well learn doing it right, if you don't mind...
Unbelievable.....you were absolutely right all along......the drive is empty. Probably left it inside when messing around with laptop before I lost everything.
What now?
Download Linux Mint Cinnamon on my Mac and move it to USB?
Then boot again?
But how can I do that? I've got no idea. I'm sure it's the right USB.
It's as I initially mentioned, I'm useless with this, never should have tried it in the first place.
I'm suffering the consequences since quite some time.
Do I have to write this laptop completely off, any chance to try...
