Video card being being added as card1 instead of card0.

Caused by CONFIG_SYSFB_SIMPLEFB set to y in kernel 6.4.8. SimpleFB now loads before AMDGPU causing the problem, using "initcall_blacklist=simpledrm_platform_driver_init" as a kernel parameter(can cause longer boot times) can mitigate the issue...

Video card being being added as card1 instead of card0.

Sorry if I wrote that in some confusing way, the issue is in the newer kernel not the other way around unfortunately. In LTS the issue doesn't happen. I'll have to put up a bug report when I have some time. I don't have any other dedicated/integrated GPUs.

Video card being being added as card1 instead of card0.

Unfortunately doesn't seem to be the issue, the card works its just added as card1 instead of card0 and there is no card0. Edit: Installed linux-lts 6.1.44-1-lts and the video card was placed in the card0 slot. This seems to be a kernel bug, happens on Zen and regular Arch Linux kernel.

Video card being being added as card1 instead of card0.

Not sure if this is due to an update or something else I did but for some reason my video card is being added as /dev/dri/card1 instead of /dev/dri/card0. /dev/dri/card0 does not exist. I have some scripts that target /dev/dri/card0 which I can update to look for all cards and find the correct...

Dual dedicated GPU each with its own monitor.

I found some free time and because I'm a masochist I tried to figure this out on my own even though I'm not going to use Linux at this point. I'm hoping maybe this helps someone out or maybe pushes someone to fix some of these issues. Everything about multi-monitor/multi-GPU set ups is...

Dual dedicated GPU each with its own monitor.

Got the 710 to hold me over until I could get my hands on a better card some time ago but kept using it to run a secondary monitor afterwards. No intention to use it for SLI or anything like that. The benefit of this over just connecting both monitors to the 6800 is that on Windows I can force...

Dual dedicated GPU each with its own monitor.

Thanks for anyone who read this and or tried to help but I'm giving up on Linux. So many great advancements in gaming is what made me want to try but the abysmal multi-GPU/muli-monitor support is too much of a down side for me. Maybe in the future things will be better but right now its just one...

Dual dedicated GPU each with its own monitor.

I have a GT 710 and a 6800 XT, each has a monitor connected. When I use nouveau drivers along with amdgpu drivers I get the desired behavior of the 710 driving the desktop and DRI_PRIME=1 activating the 6800 XT. Unfortunately the nouveau drivers on the 710 are awful. They freeze the system when...
