Please don't ask questions here on your profile page. Ask them on the Forum where more people will see them - and someone might answer. Go here: https://www.linux.org/forums/general-linux.143/ Click on the "Post New Thread" button and ask your question again...

Welcome to the site! Mint is a great choice for new users and you probably won't find it too different from Windows. If you have any questions, open a new thread in the forums (https://www.linux.org/forums/) and folks will try to help. "Getting Started" or "General Linux" are the usual place for beginners unless you have something specific that fits better in the other categories. Check out the Tutorials too!

First used windows NT for work started using Windows 95,98, 98SE, ME, XP, 7, Vista, 8, 8.1, & Finally Windows 10 at home. CISCO trained and Qualified to teach. Had my own business dealing with PC/Laptops restoring and building them from scratch, until I became disabled and retired as a result. First came across Linux, I think Ubuntu in the 1990s? Or early 2000s memory fails me, didn't think much of it or it had a future! When Microsoft used Longhorn to produce W10 I knew it was time to look else where. After a long search and trying many Distros finally went for Mint, because I like it.
Have 3 sons all in their 40s now and a wonderful wife and am owned by Isiskitty. Now retired, I live with myalgic encephalomyelitis which is not the same as CFS and recently had a stroke. Proud Lancastrian and Manxman (updated 15July 2018)
