I think I made a mistake installing linux. I'm using an HP Omen gt12-0164 and windows 10. I made three partitions, home, root, and boot. Was i supposed to make boot a linux-swap partition instead?
okay i think i figured it out everybody.
check my work.
when i installed linux into the partitions i made a boot partition instead of a linux-swap partition. is that what i did wrong?
welp. i can't get into my bios at all no matter how hard i try. i have been struggling with hackers. i hope somebody who's familiar with this bootloader can give me some advice right now. im sure i didnt install over my windows partitions im far from an idiot and very familiar with computers.
nope. stuck without access to bios. tried hitting escape repeatedly. just an omen screen then a weird command prompt then pop os. apparently its not dual boot friendly operating system and i didnt look into it far enough and ill have to take the computer back to best buy. i am really interesting...
hp omen gt12-0164. i installed the latest version of pop os 21.04. I installed linux using a flash drive and i selected my partitions and installed to the boot, root and home partitions. Now when I start my computer it automatically skips my bios and goes right into linux.
I am trying to install a dual boot of linux and windows on my new pc. I thought I could simply install linux on my partitions and my computer would be able to select between linux and windows. I'm stuck in linux. Can somebody help me?
