    In need of help figuring out which form of Linux is right for me. I don't like Windows 10, and am not sure I like Windows 8. I much prefer Windows 2000 Professional or Windows XP Professional. I was told that Mint and/or Cinnamon might be what I am looking for. I am Tech, Computer, and Internet challenged, and all of the knowledge I have had is very out of date.

    with over 500 distributions of Linux, the choice can be daunting, things to take into consideration are the intended use, the age and specification of your machine, how beholden you are to windows, do you have MS programs that you MUST have?
    Post your question in General Linux forum with as much information as you can and we the members will make some suggestions,

    Why don't you just install gtk theme on your desktop environment? It is very easy. You can make your desktop exactly look like any version of windows and mac OS
    And you can download your favorite themes from below link
