Okay, I'm running Linux Mint 19.1 LTS XFCE 32bit on a General dynamics GD 8200 laptop. When I inset a store bought CD into the drive, Rthythmbox comes up, but dosen't recognize the cd. Any suggestions?

Just a store bought audio cd. By distro, i assume what os? 32bt mint 18.2 tessa, I think. General Dynamics Itronix Gb8200 laptop. Everything works fine on my desktop....
