Thanks for your reply! I had more luck with lubuntu. I managed to boot the computer using usb with lubuntu. Then I installed ubuntu on the hard drive, but when I try to boot from hard drive I get the message: Non-system disk or disk error replace and strike any key when ready What can I do?
