    Good afternoon, I've been working on understanding Linux for a few months now. My knowledge of the English language is very poor and that is why I use Google translate. I have to say: I'm getting better and better.
    The software for linux is on a RaspberryPi 3 and I work on it via Putty. Sometimes I wonder if there are any restrictions on the rights through Putty.

    Mint is a good place for the beginner to start, it's clean comprehensive, and is easier for newbies to pick up,

    Ah, similar to where we live in East Anglia, flat mainly farm land, lots of drains and ditches [ probably not as big as yours] and away from too many of the city folk who like to move to the Countryside then try to change it.
    I used to read a little Dutch, as 40 years ago one of my brick supplier's catalogues were only printed in Dutch, Never learnt to speak it though,
