I use a raspberry pi 4 to run pihole. From what I can see it should easily run on older models too. My network has 16 clients and pihole acts as dhcp as well as dns. I'm thinking of adding lancache to the mix to make my network run more efficient. I wouldn't recommend that on the pi 2 though.
