Slow boot time for linux distros across the board. (3-5 minutes)

My Linux Mint has been taking a long time to boot lately too.
Now I have the same booting problem that you do so I know how you feel.
Is it an asus motherboard? I think that bios might be a possible culprit too, since reverting to an older version did reduce boot time.

Also, I don't think it is a Systemd issue, Systemd shows that the boot finishes in under a minute, and although I know this might just be incorrect measurement of the time taken for the boot process, I feel that the issue is not with the os but with going from bios to the os.

Yup, it's a Asus Tuf Gaming mobo:-

I just built this rig about 6 months ago so I don't think I can revert the BIOS back.
This Asus mobo was just made in September.
