i am trying to delete the top bar all together and move the date , internet icon ,sound and power buttton to the show application page. I alos trying to put trash can on buttom on dash i working with centos 8 and gnome 3 desktop.

It is perhaps unwise to try to delete the Panel.

You can "Autohide" it. That is you can make it disappear and only appear when you hover in that area.
RIGHT click on the Panel> Configure Panel>Autohide.

I also tried this
Code:
gnome-shell-extension-dash-to-panel
but it didn't work very well.
Basically it just got rid of the "dock" and moved the top panel to the bottom (or side). But the "dash" or whatever they call the applications icons pages were not working properly. It does give a lot more settings to play with though :) I installed gnomes-tweaks, dconf-editor, and gnome-shell-extension-dash-to-panel. Thus far all changes have been easily reverted - YMMV - be careful or you may break something!

I think placing indicators and such from the top panel into the applications menu pages may be possible but is probably a lot more work than it may be worth.

I've never used Gnome as a daily driver for my desktop. I didn't like it when I tried it. And I've always heard it's not the most customizable desktop. So may I suggest trying KDE? It's completely customizable. You can delete the task bar and replace it with others like Cairo (looks like mac taskbar) or none at all and use desktop widgets instead. But whatever you choose, you should backup your home directory first. If something goes wrong you don't need to lose your entire profile, just do a restore.

Me neither! Or more specifically, Gnome 'Shell' or Gnome 3.
The first time I tried it was on Fedora when the 'new' Gnome was almost ready to be released and was only available on Fedora. It was beautiful but lacked functionality. Later I discovered that the only way to add functionality or customization was through the use of "extensions". I don't like the idea of having to add extensions - possibly 3rd party extensions. Even to this day the 'Gnome' applications are becoming less and less functional as the developers remove options from the end-user.

I wanta build my own desktop i havent found anything i like. Where do i start. .
.
