hey guys i was wondering if you all could assist me in finding out why i am having so much trouble in connecting my USB to my VM. I have done everything that i know what to do. Is there a step i am missing that you could fill me in with?

I have been trying to use WINE to open certain application but WINE for some reason does not work, is there an alternative WINE software for Linux?

Thank you, have a great day guys.

You need to provide more details as to what it is exactly you're trying to do and how you are trying to do it. What virtualization software are you using? VirtualBox? QEMU? VMWare? What's the guest OS? What's the host OS? What app are you trying to run on wine? Reply with some of these details so people can offer some advice.

Thank you Tolkem for assisting me in clarifying. The VM that i am using on my linux mint is Virtual Box. When i am in my virtual box it does not recognize my USB devices. Even after i have played with the VM setting it does not seem to recognize the USB.

The WINE application I have does not work at all with my linux mint. So i deleted it and researching another alternative to WINE. I found Crossover, but it is not free. Any others i find are not free. This is where i am looking for some assistance please and thank you.

You're welcome @hendricks54 Did you install vbox guest additions? extension pack? What version of Vbox are you using? What version of Windows are you using for the VM?
