I typed the command in the terminal "startx" after that a desktop appeared with some new icons and the pens welcome to the new system (I think so), after that I restored the system and after entering the code I cannot enter at all, the code is correct 100 %. What should I do to restart my Linux Mint 19 Tara? Thank you.

I don't understand this thread. Do you now have a Desktop Environment? Where can you not enter code? (What type of code?)

I try change password but always eject password incorrect but password is correct 100%

See, when type password and click enter, start log in but return on desktop

When you log in you normally type your username. (Unless as the pictures show. your username is sudo passwd ???)

If my username was archie and my password was redhead it would be
*** login: archie
Password: redhead

It looks like your "username" and not the password is incorrect, hence "Login Incorrect".

with for instance slackware (if you haven't edited init) you are presented with a command line login on a black screen . After you have logged in i can enter the command "startx" and see my Desktop . Without logging in , startx can not be used since there is no context of user to evoke it.

So that means you must have logged in to get to desktop ?

if you logged in as normal user then the only only next level would be as root or using sudo ?

I did not enter any command to make my desktop appear. When I entered the "startx" terminal the screen went black and then a new desktop appeared with many icons on it, then I restored it and after that normal / my desktop and user name appeared in the upper left corner. Could it be that the system itself changed my broad
