Had something similar a few minutes ago, in Syvia - it told me Ublock Origin was not trusted and was disabled.

I note there is an update to v66.0.3 - did you run that?

I will leave it for now.

Yes...I am updated via the update manager on 2nd May......to 66.0.3

Te's Firefox is still on whatever was before 66.0.3....and she hasn't experienced the loss of add ons

Whatever.....I can sit and wait....for weeks if necessary........any passwords I may need i can just access via lastpass's website....or I can read them off my phone if I am desperate....(which I'm not )

Poor buggers at Mozilla will be working under extreme pressure....Chrome will be laughing at them !

Chrome is supposed to disable ad blockers. Google is worse than MS. Google doesn't just want to run everything, they want to know what everyone is doing, while they're running everything.

I just powered on my Windows 7 desktop and ABP ad blocker is working on internet explorer.

Hmm interesting.

Ain't that the truth which is why I refuse to use Google Chrome on anything.

I won't even use my internet on my android phone because it's all Google powered.

If you have an Android, they have other ways of keeping an eye on you.

Seeing they ALL keep an eye on us......we should take a page out of the malware boys books...and cheat !!....Feed them "false Information "

Not sure how to go about that.

I've read that Mozilla is working on this problem and a patch will rollout soon. But if you are anxious to regain your extensions sooner, they have provided this workaround:

Preferences -> Privacy & Security -> Firefox Data Collection and Use -> Allow Firefox to install and run studies.

Wait just a bit and the extensions will return (I restarted Firefox, but they did not say that was necessary). You can again disable the Studies program after the extensions are working again.

Cheers

I'm using Antix 17.4.1 and Firefox ESR 60.6.1 and removed ublock Origin and I have zero adds showing up :D:cool:

------------------------------
Update 10:17 pm CDT.

Been on the other forums for other Linux Distros I use and there sure are a lot of PO users so hopefully all will be working in a few days.

I run Firefox Nightly, current version 68.0a1. Don't mean to brag, but I haven't lost any addons. I have uBlock Origin installed and about 13 other addons. Guess I'm one of the lucky ones.

My Firefox is back to normal. I ticked "allow firefox to install and run studies" in privacy and security.....and my add ons reappeared over night.

I didn't think to look until your last post there Condoblok, but I just did and I already had that checked. Maybe that's why I was one of the lucky ones.

I had the same problem on both Windows 10 and Ubuntu 18.04; made sure the appropriate "survey" boxes where checked (as was told) but changes didn't take effect. I had to remove each addon, and "refresh" each Firefox version, redownloaded and added each addon (that was affected) and then all worked perfectly.

I just got Firefox 66.04 update on Windows 7 and all is well installed the only extension used ublock origin and all is well. :)

I've switched to using the brave browser on Linux and also on android.. actually, you can support Linux.org by installing it and running it for 30 days :)

https://brave.com/lin710

It's built from Chromium so all of the chrome extensions work.. plus, you can get paid to allow advertisements..
