I am not sure about installing Linux. I am thinking about buying a new computer for Linux but, I still am not sure. Is Linux for like coders or other computer masterminds or is it just a great operating system that is stronger against things like malware? Also what is Dual Boot and how does it work? Thanks for reading!

Linux is a great OS for anyone. There are distros for people who want to get in and muck around and there are distros for people who don't, and everything in between. You do not have to delete Windows to check it out. To just test it, you can install it to a pen drive or CD and boot to them, not even touching your hard drive. You can boot to Linux and use a partition manager, that comes with it, and resize your Windows partition to make room for Linux, then install Linux in the free space. This is what dual boot is. You can boot to your new Linux OS or your pre-existing Windows. All you do is select which one during bootup from a menu that Linux automatically creates for you. Linux is much more secure than Windows or Android.

Thanks for reading I will do that and thanks for the advice. Another question, how do you code in Linux and what will it do? Thanks again

There's lots of options for coding. You have to decide which language you want to code in. The one that seems to be the best one (in my opinion) is Python. Python is installed by default, I think in all distros. You can use a plain text editor to write it, but there are lots of IDEs you can use. Some are free and some cost. I believe (but could be wrong) most of Linux is written in C. You could even do some coding using Bash.

Linux is just a great operating system which is stronger against malware and great for coders and used by computer masterminds! :)

Linux is for everybody!
My 'technology challenged' wife and mother-in-law use it also ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
