I just got started using linux last week and have been having fun learning the terminal and writing scripts. But my question is that when i run airodump-ng wlan0 the scan works, but i am not given the ability to enter anymore commands in that terminal window. I tried to see if writing a script with another command after airodump-ng wlan0, but nothing will run. Is there a way to stop airodump so i can continue to work in the same terminal window? Thank you.

Hello and welcome to Linux.org :)

The easy way to stop a process inside a terminal is to hit 'Ctrl+C'.
This is also called KeyboardInterrupt.
