Hi,
I just installed Mandriva and when I start Firefox I get the above message.
In order to get network connection I have to run wpa_supplicant with the -B option and then use control center, but the connection disappears at reboot.. While I have the connection I can ping the server (wifi)
I disable NetworkManager at boot.
Can anyone help?
best regards
torben

I disable NetworkManager at boot.
How and why do you disable the NetworkManager?

Is your wireless built-in on your motherboard? Or do you have an external wireless adapter? If external, which one?

Hi atanere,
It was hopeless confusing, so I took an easy way out, downloaded a new version and installed it. It works!
Thank you

I always like the easy solutions! And re-installing is a fix that I've used many, many times myself. :D

Cheers

Just trailing in on the end of this. I was thinking "Haven't heard from Torben for a while... must be doing OK".

I ended up opting for ubuntu - it appears to be better.

Many, many Linux out there to tantalise the taste buds, my friend. :)

Enjoy
