I have been using Ubuntu for 2 years now, mainly for programming (Ruby on Rails/ Elixir/ Java), and I started thinking about changing my distribution to more advanced one (since ppl claim that Ubuntu is a go-to option for newcomers). Which one would You suggest? I have been thinking about Manjaro, but I am not fully convinced to it yet. Or should I listen to the old saying 'If it is not broken do not fix it'? Thank You in advance for Your replies and suggestions!

Hey and welcome!
The old saying is right, most of the time. A snippet from FreeBSD documentation:
If you already use an open source operating system, and you are happy with it, there is probably no good reason to change.
Unless you want to experiment with something, compare the distributions, learn new about Unix in general or simply out of curiosity, then you may give a try.

Manjaro though is not that different from Ubuntu; it's aimed at newcomers, too. Arch, its base, is used by, mostly, experienced mates. Programming facilities are the same everywhere anyway.
Thank You in advance for Your replies and suggestions!
Cheers!
