I am trying to install Kali Linux on to a laptop that previously had windows 7 on.

My problem is that when i try to load the installer from the CD drive the graphical installation causes a blank screen after a few stages and the normal install crashes on the detecting network hardware stage.

I think i may have messed up partitioning of my hard drive and would like to know any advice on how to fix it.

P.S I have nothing of value on the hard drive

Download a Linux Live C/D from The LiveCD List, such as Knoppix, or a Debian Rescue C/D, and use gparted (Preinstalled on these and other Live C/Ds) to examine and correct the partition table on the hard drive.

How is it.....? :) Did you get it Installed........? :3
