The most Secure Linux distro?

Hey, fairly new to Linux, but I'm taking a class for it in college, so I'm getting more accustomed to it everyday.
I'm really starting to like it, and see just how useful it is when compared with Windoze.

I'm looking for a distro to choose, but my main concern is security. I want a Distro that is one of, if not, the most secure out there. The difficulty of use doesn't really matter, as at the end of the semester I will have completed a Linux Server administration course, so the I'll be talented with Linux.

tl;dr: Want a secure if not the most secure linux distro for home use, novice user, but taking courses in college that will bring me to sys admin level.

edit: In class we are using Redhat Enterprise Linux, and for home use we were told to use CentOS

CentOS is your best option, especially as that's what you were told to use.

CentOS or Fedora are probably your most secure Linux distros. Arch can be made secure but YOU have to make it that way.

Even more secure would be *BSD . But *BSD systems are not Linux...
I would debate how *BSD is more secure than Linux honestly but most people say *BSD is more secure.

Okay, I'll stick with that then.

By secure I just mean the most secure to outside attacks, etc....

Where would I try to find linux drivers for my components?

Depends on the components. Almost ALL the drivers are included. Most users only have to deal with graphics and network drivers.

So, what are your system specifications?

i7-4700MQ CPU
GTX 765M, 2GB DDR5 VRAM
8GB DDR3

I'm looking to run the linux "OS (maybe in this case CentOS) and secure the system, with firewall rules, encrypted home directory, etc... Than from that, run VMs and such.

So I'm running CentOS as a liveCD on my laptop, and although ith as bluetooth capability, I don't think the wireless adapter is functioning correctly...

It doesn't seem to even exist, so I created a wireless connection using my SSID, correct password, IPv4 settings, and encryption settings.

What wireless card do you have?

Does your Nvidia card use Optimus?? Or is it a dedicated card?
