The RTL8822CE has been a pain in the butt since it was released, not only on linux but also Mac and Win 10/11
this link leads to the latest driver available , but please read the comments first

Did you read the notes in big black letters, first see if you can update the Kernel on your Ubuntu

Or going off on a different tangent, try another distribution, I suggest MX21-AHS as it is reputed to have the widest collection of updated drivers

what do you think about this?

we use Linux hardware when we need to check on something we are not sure of.

I Give a Try to MX Linux, it's debian based?

YES its Debian, and make sure you get the AHS version of MX

As h-node org gives zero results for your Wi-Fi adapter it is not suitable for “free” OSs …. Check with…

I would sidestep the issue entirely and buy a new compatible card or simply buy a...

Good luck – keep us posted - Ziggi

ps - If you need a distro that works straight out of the box you could try Zorin - it may even fix your Wi-Fi :)

I think your wifi is turning off just because for some wierd reason, the developers have it configured to do that. I had this problem until i changed this file:

/etc/NetworkManager/conf.d/default-wifi-powersave-on.conf

The contents of the document will look like this if that's the problem:

Code:
[connection]
wifi.powersave = 3

All you need to do is login with sudo or su, and change the number from 3 to 2. That stopped my wifi from randomly shutting off. Annoying, right?

I've Installed Linux Mint! Problem Fixed I think Problem is with Gnome Not With Drivers or Anything Else.

I think Problem is with Gnome
Zorin's default DE is Gnome - Zorin has a deserved reputation for working straight out of the box - so doubt Gnome is the cause of your troubles..?
In any event I am glad you are up and running :)

From Zorin Forum regarding your Wi-Fi...
I just started installing the Zorin 16 core and the WiFi adapter was detected right from the start.

What does inxi -nz give now?
