(apologies if this is in the wrong forum, my question seems to cross several topics)
I'm running Crunchbang plus plus, which is Debian 11 with an Openbox GUI.
When I used to run Ubuntu, I would use this program:

Called "Indicator Multiload"
Does such a thing exist for Debian 11?
Doing a straight terminal install gets me "Unable to locate package indicator-multiload" and under the Synaptic Package Manager it's not listed, I assume at least because it's a gnome UI thing...

If you like to tinker and customize, maybe look into conky. It's an entirely customizable desklet app that is most often used to display system stats.

I am currently running Conky, but it's modifications and customization is very primitive so I was hoping to find something that would tell me what I needed with a simple quick glance (as indicator multiload always provided)

Openbox and Gnome are not the same thing, and I doubt applets would be cross-compatible. You'd need to find a similar package, but for Openbox.

I suspected as much....any suggestions?
Why not run xfce4-panel without the other components of XFCE (assuming openbox is a choice owing to low resources, otherwise I'd say just switch to full XFCE out of lziness). The panel supports CPU monitoring applets, battery, etc.

Alternatively, you can look into Rox if you really want to go minimal (should integrate well with Openbox). Anyway, it's not just a file manager that Rox has, it's an entire set of DE components:

FWIW, LXDE and LXQt offer something similar on OpenBox as panel applets.
