Hello Folks,
First time poster, long time voyeur of linux.org.

Little about myself:
  • Linux power user (23 years) for quite some time.
  • Enjoy helping others wade through the OS internals/kernel
  • Professionally use/work with Linux
  • Hobbyist with Linux
So with that, happy to be here.

Welkom @Tl2038! What is your distribution of choice for your desktop?

G'day from DownUnder and welcome. :)

Hey thanks for the warm welcome (pun intended. It’s winter over here!) good guesses - it’s a Hellenic statue labeled “Boxer at rest” - I’d like to emphasize that the level of exhaustion depicted in this statue is how my brain feels after years of deploying code to production.

G'day and Welcome @Tl2038 from another who comes from DownUnder but now a days abides in northern climes in Eastern Europe.
That I can understand about deploying code though not a coder myself it would not be an easy task.

Tell me about it! The development team I work with (working on desktop CAD software for Windows) switched to agile development at the start of this year. We were bought out by another larger company a few years ago and they’ve started to impose some of their working practices on our team.

Since switching to agile, the increased pace of development and working more closely with colleagues have been welcome changes. But I do worry I might burn out, if the pace of development doesn’t slow down a little, ha ha!

After almost a year of agile "sprints" (they certainly don’t call then sprints for nothing!) I’m mentally exhausted! They’re really cracking the whip on us! Ha ha!

Welcome to the community btw!
