Hi all

Let me specify first that I have watched numerous youtube videos and blogs, man pages, docs and other resources. I've typed so many lines of commands in a shell I'm beginning to think the task is beyond me! I know it's a Broadcom BCM 43277 WIFI and it's in a Acer Aspire 5750. I'm willing to connect at first via LAN to initiate the installation. I'm fairly computer literate and I've spent ALOT of time in Windows. I've played with Linux many years ago and never really tried to connect to wifi back then. I'd really like to embrace Linux F/T since Windows is really beginning to annoy me. ANY help to get this solved FINALLY and maybe recreate an ISO of the current configuration AFTER it's all done would be AMAZING (just in case). Hope anyone patient enough will help. Looking forward to further progress.

Hello thenicefella,
Welcome to the Forum.
Which Distro are you using?
If possible please go to a terminal and type
INI:
inxi -Nn and rfkill list all
Then post the outputs here.

update according to aspire your model comes with an Atheros AR5B97 wireless card not broadcom. So that may be your problem
in any event post the outputs of the commands above.

linux drivers for both qualcom[atharos] and Broadcom drivers are available in most main line distributions, and can be found using the driver manager It will help if you tell us which distribution you are using..

[its gone midnight here time for wizards rest]
