can i move to linux without usb or pendrive..? and which distro should should i start with as absolute begginer
 


If you don't have a pen-drive you will need to burn a cd/dvd and then install it from there. It's best to start with either Ubuntu or Mint, most systems should be able to run either with no problems. Which laptop of desktop system do you have?

I have a 2008 acer netbook and that will boot from an SD card [you will have to check the full specifications to be sure]
 
The first time I used Linux, I booted straight from my C drive, using UNetBootIn
