For practice purpose, let us assume i have backed up the current machine state of linux and after that i have deleted the root directory. Now i need to rejump to the old state. So how to do it?, Explain it from the backing up of current machine state.

i don't know in what way my question was wrong, anyhow i asked how to backup using commands(CLI). if any thread related to it share it here, if none explain it here.

How did you back up? Are we supposed to read your mind? Then you said
Explain it from the backing up of current machine state.
Again, how can we explain a procedure we've no idea about? You'd need to specify what method you used to back up your system, otherwise we'll be just making guesses, which is a waste of time for us and for you, and that's why I pointed you to that link, if you follow it and read through it, you'll find the answers you're looking for.
