It looks like several repositories you’ve added to apt are incorrect, or invalid.
Some of them do not appear to have any builds available for your version of Ubuntu, the trisquel one seems to be pointing to an invalid ip, or perhaps the server is down, idk!
The opensuse one seems to be missing a public key.
I’d recommend removing those repositories.

Suse is a red-hat .rpm based distro, not a Debian .deb based distro. Adding that one seems a bit daft. I don’t imagine it would work at all with apt.

So remove all of those repositories that aren’t working, then run sudo apt update to update/refresh your package lists.

Unfortunately i have no idea how to remove.

$ sudo apt-get remove i copy and past from CLI an example of what i did =

$ sudo apt-get remove http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/hawkeye116477:/waterfox/xUbuntu_Next

Yeah, you've pretty much trashed that install. Restore from backups or install anew.

If you restore from backups, only remove the offending PPAs. If you install anew, don't add PPAs until you are comfortable with the concept and know how to remove them.

"software-properties-common" is a handy GUI way to manage that stuff.

I don’t think it’s completely trashed. The sources.list for apt just needs to be updated to remove all of the non working repositories. Then it should be ok.

I’m with my kids atm, so haven’t got time to go into detail right now. I’ll be back a little later.
I’m assuming this is a Ubuntu install we’re dealing with?!

They're down to one repository and it's broken.

Yes, the Trisquel repos. But I don’t think they’re actually using Trisquel though, are they?! I think the OP is using Ubuntu, or was it mint?! IDK!!
Whatever they’re using - It’s never really a good idea to add repos from other distros....

This is why I figure it's best to just reinstall. Any time thrown at fixing it would be better spent doing a new install, restoring /home/user from backups, and learning a lesson about PPA management.

That's 30 to 60 minutes - complete with restoring backups.

At some point, usually where the time investment is, you gotta just consider it hosed and move on.

Some folks see reinstalling as a fundamental wrong. For the most part, it can always be fixed. It's just a question of time and energy investment.

I don't see reinstalling as a bad thing, or even giving up. I see it as a necessary progression in learning to use Linux.

You break something. You learn. You break something else. You learn. You break something more - and usually learn to make good backups at about this point. You break something else, and backups don't fix it. You learn to be more diligent with backups. Etc... It's the progression of life!

Eventually, you more or less stop breaking stuff and actually understand why and how Linux works.

Just a heads up to @JasKinasis , @KGIII and others on Hawkeye.

It is a package distribution source set up by openSUSE for downloading a version of the Waterfox Browser (based on Firefox) and is available to all Distros of whatever family. It's a community service on their part.

I have found it a bit patchy, and download my Waterfox from here

Thanks to all. everyone who kindly posted for me, the good news is that i now sorted it, the bad news is that i had to sort it from the GUI rather than Terminal, but sorted all the same, thanks
