LENOVO Winbook 100e running windows 10,

PC specs please

This appears to be the distro:

I'll have to spin up a VM to see what they're about.

@karimfc , apparently requires people here to supply the detail which he should have entered in his first post.

We are not your servants karim. Some input please.

Nice looking distro based on Ubuntu, running KDE Plasma. I'll have to play around with that.

Absolutely not necessary to be snippy. If that's how you feel about my post, then that's on you... must have issues with yourself or something. I never asked anyone to be my "servant"; I asked for advice. Besides, you didn't, and still don't, have to reply. Actually, with the attitude you have, you can keep any information you may or may not have to yourself. I'm good. But THANKS. :)

I would appreciate any advice/info you are willing to share. I'm kinda new to this tech stuff... obviously. I used to root all of my phones and stuff like that, but really don't know too much about computers. Yet., lol. Thanks

That’s not being snippy, son.

Thst is areflectipn of the fact that you were thoughtless enough and inconsiderate enough to expect others to ‘go find’ the details required about your pc in order to supply you with the advice you require. I might refer you to the topic below by @KGIII .. read it and learn....and you will not be found lacking again

Hold up. First, I ain't your son. I'm a grown woman. Second, buzz off. You're totally misinterpreting my REQUEST, and frankly, I don't have the time, energy, nor the desire to set you straight, so let's just call it a draw and move on with our separate lives, separately. Have a nice day.

Boxing gloves off, folks, there is fault on both sides.

@karimfc welcome to linux.org :)

Does the above reflect your PC specs? That is what @Condobloke was asking after, not your current operating system, which is covered in your Thread title.

I found the above just by Googling

lenovo winbook 100e specs

Also, on a search for Nitrux

nitrux linux system requirements

It's minimum requirements are:
  • 2.66 GHz quad-core CPU or better.
  • 4 GB system memory.
  • 256 MB video memory and OpenGL 2.0 support.
  • 4.29 GB of free hard drive space.

So you could be struggling with that memory.

How much of that hybrid SSD is Windows occupying currently?

@karimfc
Welcome to the best forum on the subject of Linux that I know of.
As with you, I was a Windows person until about 4-5 years ago. I came to the forum with what I now see is the Windows attitude.
I believe you would do better if perhaps you changed your approach from being so confrontational to something more befitting a lovely woman such as yourself.
As I learned early on, Linux does not need me, but I sure do need Linux!
Once again, welcome to the forum.

Honestly, I've been so swamped with everything else in my life for the past year that I don't even remember how to look for that info. Dang, I've dumbed myself down lately... lol

Don't worry, take your time, Linux may nurture back the brain cells. Charlie, whom you have met above is 86 and like a kid in a toy store since he embraced Linux.

Do anything major when you are bright-eyed and bushy-tailed so you make fewer mistakes, but we've got your 6 if you do.

Friday arvo (afternoon) here in Oz, so

Avagudweegend, all

Lol, it's still Thursday here in Kentucky. I may have to get back to you this weekend, after homework that is

Homework first, beer second ... Linux second.

Look forward to it.

This appears to be the distro:

I'll have to spin up a VM to see what they're about.
I will also try and boot live from usb probably using ventoy

regarding the specs- if they have already been posted sorry not much sleep last night:

Intel® Celeron® N3350
Intel® Celeron® N3450

Display
11.6" HD TN antiglare display (1366 x 768, 220 nit)
Graphics
Intel® Integrated Graphics
Battery
Up to 10 hours*
* Based on testing with MobileMark 2014. Battery life varies significantly with settings, usage, & other factors.
Memory
4 GB LP-DDR4 DRAM
Storage

64 GB eMMC
128 GB eMMC

WiFi
802.11 AC (2x2) WiFi with Bluetooth® 4.1
Camera
Rotatable HD camera
Ports/Slots

USB 3.0
USB 2.0
HDMI
Combo mic / audio jack
2-in-1 card reader
Kensington lock slot

Weight
1.22 kg
Dimensions (H x W x D)
300.5 mm x 212.5 mm x 21.7 mm / 11.83" x 8.36" x .85"

and this is what is recommened :

CPU:2.5 GHz dual core (64 bit)
RAM:2 GiB
Storage:5 GB to 20 GB

looks like there are 2 versions 64 GB eMMC, 128 GB eMMC

Windows 10 on kids laptop of 30gig has completely filled hard drive and no more room for updates. Thus on 64 gig might be tight, depending whats installed on Windows or stored.
Getting iso, its a torrent- using kTorrent

I will also try and boot live from usb probably using ventoy

I took a quick look around but didn't have time to dig too deep. It didn't stand out too much compared to the many others.
