Mostly useful for distros using aptitude, though could probably be adapted - I just didn't write it for others.

As always, feedback makes the articles even better. I think I make too many assumptions about what people know, though my home page indicates that I do expect some familiarity with Linux before the site is all that useful to most folks.

The last feedback (from @stan) made my article much more clear about what enabling root actually accomplished. So, feedback is always wanted.

One marginal change. The bots were so bad that they were spamming my newsletter sign up with fake email addresses - which will tick off the email hosts and get my mails blacklisted. So, I'm working on an alternative solution. Alas, it may require using Google's reCAPTCHA, which I've been trying to avoid. So, no notifications at the time being - even though it may look like there is.

well i did notice https://linuxtips.gq/contribute/ so if i get a chance to install Slackware 15 (busy on various tasks ..sub sahara at moment ) at a later time an article could be "Slackware is alive 2021- how to make it work for you"

By all means, feel free to do so. I also left registration open, which meant a lot of work went into security, for those that'd like to join and participate by more than just an article or two.

The only thing folks should really be aware of is the copyright. It's an 'open source' copyright, so any work you contribute is work you're contributing to the world.
