Hi to everyone
My PC stopped during Kali Linux Installation, I am not able to read a usb as the Pc disk is empty, no drivers no operative system.
What can I do now to save my PC?
laptop, Desktop PC / what was on it hard disk before install? What was install media usb stick or cd/dvd Do you have a liveOS on a usb stick ?
Power is on for PC ?
you should be able to still boot from usb with any luck, but do yo uhave or can get a live OS onto a usb stick. If so you shutdown and stright after power hit f9 or equivalent to get a choice of boot options .
Obtain a bootable USB of a 'Live' Linux distro - NOT Kali !
Boot the machine from the Live USB. It should boot even if there is no operating system on the internal hard drive. Install Linux from there.
If it does not boot you may have other issues such as catastrophic hardware failure or a BIOS mis-configuration.

ok so theres a good chance Windows might still be there, you were basically going to replace Mint with Kali ? Did that kali on usb have live option or was it an install iso only? From a cold boot what happends when you hit F8 key ? or Del key

well its just that I have kali live version on a usb stick , means i can run it wirhout having to install . However i've got wpscan on slackware running as we speak , metasploit so i'm not sure i even need kali . Some iso such as Mint/ ubuntu give you a choice "try" or install
ok so that means you can get access to bios, means has power , cpu circa 40 degress thats ok ..mmm and it can see the SSD hard drive nvme , which might suggest ssd not dead hopefully either. but the usb ports are saying not available any dvd drive with your laptop? what does F8 boot menu show ?
don't thank me , we haven't solved anything but there is hope. is it showing anything in boot options priority etc ? if we don't get anywhere tonight hold fast and Chris the Wizard .. must have some ideas @wizardfromoz or anyone else on here tonight ? one other thing i see no admin password- there may be more of bios to access if you have admin rights
Try a another usb drive, and then boot and enter the bios see if it shows up then. If it does, then the usb drive you were installing Kali from broke on you during installation or something like that or maybe the usb port is broke you could try another usb port. I would look somewhere there, broke usb drive or broke usb port. Would be interesting to hear the results. Once you have tried all that, we will probably know more.
taking into account what f33dm3bits has said , i this is a hypothesis of what you had, what happened and what you have now.
You had Mint which was installed after Windows so the boot manager as probably grub, from which you could boot either Windows or Mint. You started a kali install that went bad; so no grub to boot either Windows or Linux. I think there is a good chance Windows is still there. you you had for instance your laptop is uefi then i bet rEFInd on a usb (if you can get usb working) could boot Windows. be interesting to see how wrong or not i am
