    I think the scope and needs of the software will dictate the language used, not the other way around.

    If I were to see the same program written in all of the listed programming languages, I would choose the "C" version due to speed and performance.

    In my opinion, C vs C++ is largely up to the developer and specific purpose. Of the two, I want to learn C++. Everyone has their opinion when it comes to C++ or C.
