Problem: User gets "no connection" message when trying to access/ssh a VM

Solution: When I open the user's console (via vSphere) it says "INIT: version 2.86 reloading" on the screen so I press "Ctrl C" and it reverts back to the login prompt and the user can access the VM again.

Question: I want to know what's causing this glitch and what I can do to prevent this from happening.

Additional info: system is RHEL5 and Centos 6.2
