A friend of mine recently gave me a flashdrive and said there's a cool game he created on there that I might like. He's fairly computer savvy and a bit of a prankster. Is it possible to use a Linux VM to see what's on the flashdrive without potentially infecting my actual system?

What technology are you using for your VM?

This will be the free edition of VMWare. I have a few different VMs on there for testing purposes and script writing, in case I muck something up, I can just reclone the master VM again.

    Live cd?

why not use a live cd? I do it all of the time to back up hd outside of using the os on it.
