terminale open system path

    hello,

    i'm new at linux and i am struggling with the following.

    i have a script that i can run with out any problem but i have to run this from my desktop
    what i would like to do is run this from my system folder ( this folder is backup )

    in the script i have a command as follow:
    cd ~/Desktop

    i would like to change this to the system folder... but how?.

    Welcome! If I understood you right, you need to simply open your script with a text editor (gedit, mousepad or some else), and to jump to a system folder, you have to write there

    Little differences can appear depending on your operating system, but common commands are the same.
