Serial port driver generated mass of hardware Interrupts

    Hello All,

    I have an issue when I sent/received data from serial port by using minicom, the system generated lot of hardware interrupts (1,000,000.00 per second).

    I'm using Red Hat Enterprise Linux WS version 6.2.
    Is there any way in the kernel we can configure to increase the buffers sizes so the system cannot generate lot of hardware interrupts?

    Below is the output of lspci from our serial port:
