Start off with something Ubuntu based, make live cd's and see what works best on your machine.

I have used Google Translator hope this right.
Comece com algo baseado Ubuntu, fazer cd ao vivo de e ver o que funciona melhor em sua máquina.

Yes, he wants the distro/desktop from a TV show......

As this is clearly an English language board, I really don't see the point or need for these translations...

Plus online translators can get things spectacularly wrong- so I'd advise against that.

I love when TV show writers try to get technical. At least they managed to pull up some "authentic" looking source code in the second pic rather than a bunch of 0s and 1s scrolling around to simulate "hacking."

But as @arochester alluded to, this is most likely not a Linux OS or any OS for that matter.

Remember the thing in Blade Runner? "enhance"... where he zoomed in on a pixellated, digitised photo and magically increases the resolution...?

    Many people believe that's possible.

I still see that on shows like CSI and Law & Order to this day. My wife loves when I rant about it

At first it looks like Ubuntu, but it is not Ubuntu.

You can try Linux if you want too, without affecting your Hard Drive. Look here: http://www.everydaylinuxuser.com/2012/09/5-ways-to-try-linux-without-messing-up.html
