CPU and MB Temperature

Hello everybody,

I tried to read the temperatures of my MB (Asus Maximus IV Gene-Z) and CPU (Sandy-Bridge Core i5 2500k) but there are so many temperatures displayed, that I do not know which of them I should associate with which device - but thats not the biggest problem!

The temperatures which are displayed are about 10 degrees higher than the temperatures which Windows shows to me (normally about 25(at)CPU and 30(at)MB) via the Asus FanXPert tool while doing nothing at the pc. Could it be possible that lmsensors has different configurations for different mainboards and that for mine mainboard, the tool has a wrong one?

I have a Scythe Mugen 3 as CPU cooler and also a big one for the case.

Hope anybody can help me :)?

Best regards!

option.

I believe the asus native tool have to be more reliable. But for 10 degrees.... I dont think that could be a problem. Hope helps
